On Friday, May 16, ADRP welcomed just over 100 donor relations professionals for a day full of education, thought leadership, and engagement at the 12th Annual Northeast–Mid-Atlantic Regional Conference. This year’s event was hosted at the beautiful, historic SUNY Global Center in Midtown Manhattan. Thanks to expert planning (and seriously detailed spreadsheets), the conference committee put together a fantastic program!
Our keynote speaker, Dr. Shai Butler, inspired us to be engaged and intentional in balancing our personal and professional lives. Breakout sessions included everything from how to write winning acknowledgement letters, to building recognition societies, to fostering successful collaboration with development partners and external constituents. We ended the conference with a powerful and moving group session that left everyone buzzing with a renewed confidence in themselves and the role of donor relations in fundraising.

It was great to meet and reconnect with colleagues from all over the region. And while the bagels at breakfast may have been mini, they were still classic NYC bagels, which is always a win! In a city with endless food options, “Lunch on Your Own” was a real treat (not to mention easy on the registration fee). For attendees who stayed to explore NYC over the weekend, we hope you had a great time!
