About the Webinar

In 2023, the University of West Florida conducted an enlightening pilot study exploring the impact of donor-recipient relationships on scholarship recipients. This research focused on ten current students and alumni who benefited from donor-funded scholarships, offering a unique opportunity to hear their stories firsthand. The findings of this study are invaluable for professionals in fundraising and donor relations, providing a deeper understanding of how to effectively communicate with both recipients and donors. By fostering stronger connections, organizations can enhance donor engagement and support, ensuring that the scholarship experience is meaningful for all involved. This study goes beyond higher education, offering insights that can be applied across the nonprofit sector. It delves into crucial questions about the emotional dynamics of giving and receiving, exploring whether recipients feel valued or exploited in these relationships. Join us in discovering how to cultivate authentic connections that benefit donors, recipients, and organizations alike. Transform your approach to fundraising and donor relations with insights from this pioneering study!
