Jen McGrath

Jen McGrath is the Senior Director of Donor Relations and Stewardship at MIT. Her team of nine is responsible for fostering the relationship between the Institute and its donors through activities that acknowledge, recognize, and report on gifts to MIT, engaging donors in the life of the Institute in support of MIT's $5 billion Campaign for a Better World. Prior to joining MIT in February 2017, she served as Boston University's Director of Stewardship & Donor Relations.

Jen has been deep in the business of donor relations and stewardship since 2010. Prior to that she served from 2007-2010 as director of reunion campaigns and then as senior advancement editor at Hobart and William Smith Colleges. In the latter role, she conceptualized and implemented aspects of the marketing and communications strategy required for the final phase of the Colleges' capital campaign. She began her higher-ed advancement career in annual giving at Gettysburg College, her alma mater, first as associate director and then as director of annual giving after three years with a nonprofit as the director of membership and development. These experiences enrich her perspective and drive to ensure an integrating role across the fundraising, alumni relations, and marketing interests that inform great donor relations and stewardship activity.

As a conference presenter and a Hub newsletter contributor, Jen has addressed giving society launches, online donor recognition, ideas for productivity, comprehensive reporting programs, and other topics of particular interest to seasoned professionals. Jen joined ADRP in 2010, and has been honored serve as a session host and presenters coach for several International Conferences, a past member of Archives Project and Nominations Committee, and as a member of the Board of Directors, beginning in 2015.
