Interest Statement:
Our work and that of our members is essential to successful fundraising and, more importantly, changing the world through our missions. It has been my pleasure to uplift and empower donor relations professionals through my many years in the field and my volunteer work with ADRP. I want to continue that effort by advancing our education, expanding our areas of impact, and growing our influence. Board after Board has pursued a vision for ADRP to be THE authority in donor relations. We’ve worked tirelessly toward this goal, and we must continue to grow and evolve as philanthropy, donors, and organizations evolve. We must explore new ways to expand our network and ask ourselves, “Are we THE leader or A leader? And is this where we want to be?” I know this is still my vision for ADRP. While serving in the presidential arc, I wish to bring energy to the following efforts (and those passed on by the current board):
- Execute the strategic plan while allowing for movement on unforeseen needs and new ideas
- Amplify our position as the authority in donor relations
- Expand our influence into other job types within philanthropy
- Strengthen our partnerships with other organizations that serve our sector
- Support the work of member services – this may range from creating new educational courses, developing content through the Journal of Donor Relations acquisition, expanding our networking options, or other items discovered over the next two years.
Why elect me for this position? I thrive when making an impact – creating positive change and improving the world for those who come after me. Our world needs this right now. I’ll put my education, years of experience in the field and leading teams, decisive nature, influencing skills, and passion into what I believe is the best membership organization serving the best people with the best profession in the world. My history with the organization, connections with leaders from our founders to our current volunteers, and my 20-year tenure in the field across different organizations provide me with a perspective that I know will help the organization execute this next strategic plan. I have also LOVED the time I have spent on the Board this year, getting up to speed on our current areas of focus and diving into the strategic plan. I firmly believe I can help push this trajectory in the coming years.

Interest Statement:
The Association of Donor Relations Professionals has played a transformative role in my professional journey. Since joining ADRP in 2012, following my transition from a frontline position to donor relations, I immediately recognized that this field would define my career. Over the years, ADRP has been instrumental in my development, providing learning opportunities through conferences, webinars, and hands-on involvement with regional committees and the annual international conference. My volunteer experiences with ADRP have been particularly meaningful. Assisting with the planning and execution of events and conferences has allowed me both to contribute to the organization's success and to help foster supportive spaces for colleagues. These forums have facilitated networking, sharing of best practices, and professional growth for our local community and beyond. ADRP has given me much more than professional development—it has provided a network of peers, friendships, and a wealth of shared knowledge. Through benchmarking and collaborative learning, I have applied and shared industry innovations, helping to elevate the standards and impact of donor relations. Volunteering has been an important part of my personal development and is an important part of my overall professional growth. I am eager to serve on the Board of Directors and continue giving back to an organization that has enriched my career. I bring not only practical experience, knowledge, and passion for donor relations but also a commitment to advancing ADRP’s mission and supporting its members as our field evolves. My goal is to help ADRP further strengthen its community, foster inclusivity, and expand learning opportunities for all. By serving in this capacity, I hope to amplify the impact of donor relations professionals everywhere and ensure that ADRP remains a vital resource for current and future generations. Thank you for considering my application to serve on the Board. I am excited by the opportunity to contribute my experience, enthusiasm, and vision to ADRP’s continued success and growth.

Interest Statement
I am seeking election to the ADRP Board of Directors because this organization has played a meaningful role in my growth as a donor relations professional, and I am eager to give back through service at the highest level. ADRP has shaped how I think about donor relations, stewardship, community, and leadership, and I have seen firsthand the impact a strong, values-driven professional association can have on individuals and the field as a whole. In my day-to-day role as Executive Strategist for Philanthropic Implementation and Engagement at the University of Colorado Anschutz, I lead campus-wide stewardship strategy, donor engagement and events, recognition, and philanthropic spending. This work requires balancing donor-centered values with institutional responsibility, building policies and systems that last, and making thoughtful decisions informed by data and experience. I regularly operate with a governance mindset—focused not only on outcomes, but on sustainability, accountability, and long-term trust. Over the past several years, I have served in a variety of volunteer roles with ADRP, including committee member and co-chair for Attendee Experience, Content Committee contributor, Education Committee member, and currently as Chair of the 2026 ADRP International Conference. These experiences have given me a deep appreciation for the time, care, and collaboration required to keep ADRP strong, relevant, and member-focused. As a Board member, I would bring a practical perspective grounded in active listening and thoughtful leadership. I would contribute to strategic planning that reflects the realities of our profession, support sound governance and organizational health, and advocate for programs and experiences that engage professionals across roles, institutions, and career stages. I see board service as an opportunity to help steward ADRP itself—honoring its mission while helping position the association for continued growth. Serving on the ADRP Board would be both an honor and a responsibility I approach with humility, energy, and respect for this community.

Interest Statement:
Serving on the ADRP Board of Directors during my first term has been one of the most professionally formative experiences of my career. I came in intentionally: listening closely, building relationships with fellow board members, and finding my footing and voice within the governance structure. In conversations with colleagues, I've found this is a common experience, as many board members reflect that their first term was spent in much the same way, gaining perspective before stepping into fuller leadership. That deliberate approach shaped how I contribute, not as the loudest voice in the room, but as a thoughtful, consistent presence who brings perspective, follows through on commitments, and helps move the group toward consensus. My CliftonStrengths, Positivity, Developer, Responsibility, Includer, and Restorative, reflect how I work. They show up in how I approach difficult conversations, how I think about member needs, and how I invest in the people around me, making me a board member who is quietly strategic and reliably present. During this term, I contributed to the development of the 2025-2030 strategic plan, an experience that deepened my understanding of where ADRP is headed and where I can add the most value. My day-to-day work as Director of Stewardship at Pace University keeps me grounded in the realities our members face, and board service has, in turn, sharpened my professional lens; each has made the other stronger. In a second term, I am ready to step up in new ways. I will be participating in an upcoming fireside chat alongside Lynne Wester (Donor Relations Group) and Chelsea Lamego (Fundminer) on April 23, and I plan to expand my presence through webinars and conference programming to support ADRP's educational mission. I want to give back to a membership that has given me so much. Strategically, I believe the next three years present two significant opportunities for ADRP. The first is deepening partnerships with aligned organizations, work I am already seeing take shape and want to help accelerate. The second is developing thoughtful programming around AI to help our member base navigate a rapidly changing landscape with confidence and clarity. I have spent my first term learning. I am ready to spend my second term leading.
Brinton Vincent
Director of Donor Engagement and Stewardship
Augustana College
Brinton has been a professional in higher education for ten years, first starting in student activities. Like most of us, Brinton fell into fundraising by happenstance due to a geographical move and first worked in alumni engagement and annual giving for three years before making the move to stewardship. Brinton is currently the Director of Donor Engagement and Stewardship at Augustana College. At Augie, he leads efforts in endowed fund reporting, demonstrating impact of all gifts to the college, collects notes of gratitude from students, and much more. He has been a member of ADRP since 2022, serving on the sponsorship committee and currently serves as the committee chair, continuing the good work of professionals that came before him. Outside of work you can find him reading a good book, taking long walks with his dog and husband, or on stage with his improv group.
ADRP Experience:
- 2025, 2026 - Sponsorship Committee Chair
- 2022-2024 - Sponsorship Committee Member
Interest Statement:
I bring a perspective that is currently underrepresented on the ADRP Board: that of the small-shop, budget-conscious practitioner at a small liberal arts institution in the Midwest. I am a 1.5-person stewardship office at Augustana College, a private liberal arts college of 2,500 students and roughly 30,000 living alumni in Rock Island, IL. I have built an innovative, impactful program on a budget under $30,000 (30% being a subscription for a video stewardship platform), and ADRP has been central to that success. The professional development and community ADRP offers are genuinely transformative for stewardship folks like me, and I believe there are far more members that we may realize in similar situations. That is why my voice belongs on the Board. Small and under-resourced institutions are meaningful and, unless the data says otherwise, a largely untapped segment of our membership. They often operate with minimal staffing, constrained travel budgets, and limited capacity to volunteer, yet they stand to benefit enormously from what ADRP offers. I want to help the Board identify this audience, make the case for their investment in ADRP, and create pathways for engagement that don't require heavy-hitting experience to their budgets. Growing this segment isn't just good for those institutions, but it's a clear opportunity to grow ADRP's reach and impact. I am not new to ADRP's work. I have been a dedicated member since April 2022 and a volunteer since November of that same year, serving two years on the Sponsorship Committee before stepping into the Chair role. In that role, I served on the ICON Committee that planned ADRP's first-ever international conference in Montreal. I understand how the organization operates, and after some encouragement from current board members, I'm ready to contribute at the board level. I also bring direct nonprofit board experience, having recently completed a term on the board of a local organization. I understand governance, strategic thinking, and what it means to show up fully for a volunteer leadership commitment. I have the capacity (and the Woo!) to exceed the expectations of this role.ADRP has given a great deal to me. I'm eager to give back in a way that opens the door for the many practitioners who haven't yet found their way in.
