Description: At the Y, we believe physical and cognitive disabilities as well as financial barriers shouldn't prevent a child from experiencing the joy of playing baseball and belonging to a team. Along with the generous support of our donors, the YMCA Miracle League field at University City - a custom-designed baseball complex featuring a wheelchair-accessible surface – is able to make this dream a reality for young athletes and their families from across the region.

Beyond Words: The Life Changing Impact of the Powell Match
Description: University of the Pacific has been honored to receive an extraordinary gift of $125 million from the estate of the late Regents Robert C. and Jeanette Powell. The Powell Fund supports the Powell Scholars as well as the Powell Match program, which will match new gifts up to 1:1. An astute businessman, Bob Powell appreciated an opportunity to leverage his philanthropy to inspire others, and with this program, he continues to do so. Jeannette Powell frequently urged the Powell Scholars to "find and follow your passions" and we hope this incredible gift will inspire you to do so as well.. 

 

Momentum: Forward Thinking, Forward Movement
Description: Momentum: Forward Thinking, Forward Movement was created to celebrate the end of Rutgers University’s first billion dollar campaign in our 250 year history. The video incorporates a mix of our campuses, programs, research, and students. Momentum was debuted at a top-donor event for the campaign close which highlighted all the amazing things happening at Rutgers recently.

Alexander and Tess
Description:At first, nothing seemed wrong with their twins Tess and Alexander. But by the time they were a year old, Danica and George Theodorakos knew something was wrong.

The family has been treated by Children's National Health System ever since, and they are optimistic about their own future and the future for others with cerebral palsy. "I think eventually we'll just keep getting better," Tess said. "No one will notice it anymore."



Amelia Island Closing Video
Description: The University gathered leadership donors, university leadership, Board of Trustees and development staff members to a retreat in March 2015 to announce that they had hit their goal and that for the next 16 months they were going to push forward to exceed the campaign goal. Rochester partnered with MainSpring to develop two videos for the retreat. The closing video was designed to be an energizing send-off for attendees. These videos will be used for internal presentations and versions will likely be created for the web and mass emails.   



Amelia Island Opening Video
Description: The University gathered leadership donors, university leadership, Board of Trustees and development staff members to a retreat in March 2015 to announce that they had hit their goal and that for the next 16 months they were going to push  forward to exceed the campaign goal. The opening video was intended to be an emotional and exciting way to kick-off the retreat, recap what they collectively have been able to do in this campaign and announce they had reached the $1.2B goal. Coca-Cola First Generation Scholarship Video
Description: To thank the Coca-Cola Foundation for their generous Coca-Cola First-Generation Scholarship at USF, we created an impact video featuring the graduating students from the original cohort of Coca-Cola Scholars. New footage, as well as clips from the students’ freshman year, were used to create a retrospective narrative, highlighting how far they have come since their first year as Coca-Cola Scholars and how they plan to use their transformational education to “Change the World from Here.”

Description: This video was used for Concordia University, St. Paul's 2015 "Giving Day" and depicts CSP's president speaking to value of giving to the university.

Description: Reporting live! from BC Children's Hospital in Vancouver, oncology patient Brooke updates our campaign donors by going behind-the-scenes to ask the experts for their thoughts on the construction and building of the new Teck Acute Care Centre - coming soon in 2017.  



Finn's Y Story: A Lasting Legacy of Swimming
Description: Each year April and Michael Moore lead a fundraising campaign to honor the memory of their son Finn and what he loved most - swimming. Like the Y, they believe the ability to swim is a critical life skill that every child should have the opportunity to learn. Together, we're determined to prevent childhood drowning in our community. Since 2011, the Moore family has raised nearly $20,000 for swim lessons scholarships.

 

Generosity Heals
Description: Through the generous support of the Morris Foundation, patients at Cook Children's are being saved through innovative and convenient ways at neighborhood clinics. Not only are they producing patients with resources they need to improve their health, but they are also educating them on how to practice and maintain healthy lives at home.. 

 

Helping Mature Students Achieve Their Academic Dreams | Charlotte W. Newcombe Foundation 
Description: Thomas and Diane Wilford, of the Charlotte W. Newcombe Scholarship Foundation, discuss why they’ve partnered with Saint Joseph’s University to support adult students’ dreams of completing their degree. The video was part of a series featuring philanthropists encouraging others to support the University. After Tom and Diane being stewarded through this video shoot, the Foundation voluntarily increased its support of the scholarship. 



Imani's Y Story: More Than A Place To Go After School
Description: Sixth grader Imani and her stepfather Adrian know first-hand that the Y is so much more than a fun place to go after school. After losing her mother, Imani found a home away from home at the Y. Through the love and support of her after school counselors and dance instructors, she continues to overcome obstacles and be a positive light to all those around her.



Inspired to Change Lives: Essam and Dalal Obaid Center for Reconstructive Transplant Surgery at Mayo Clinic
Description: At 35 years old, Tarek Obaid became one of the youngest Mayo Clinic benefactors to reach Philanthropic Partner level, Mayo's highest level of recognition, with a $10 million gift to support reconstructive transplantation. Mr. Obaid’s generosity was inspired by his experience as a Mayo patient and his compassion for victims of war and trauma. Through this film Mayo Clinic thanks Mr. Obaid and his family, and reiterates the incredible impact of his philanthropy.



Miracle Weekend Thank You
Description: BC Children’s Hospital patients came together to thank the countless volunteer fundraisers and event volunteers for making our 28th annual Miracle Weekend a giant success! This video was shared with over 25 volunteer committees and groups who were instrumental in making our telethon the most successful one yet.

Scholarship Donor Recognition
Description: Through the stories and profiles of speakers, we will discuss and explore the personal and institutional impact of donor-funded scholarships. There is a secondary purpose of reinforcing the Ross brand and strengths in the four pillars. Testimony will be woven together to convey information on the impact of donor-based scholarships, and also leave an emotional impression on the viewer about the significant human stories made possible through these gifts.  



SFU Thanks You!
Description: This was our first ever donor-relations produced video for our donors. The video has actual student recipients of awards expressing their thanks in a dialogue-less but joyful way at all three Simons Fraser campuses.

Temple University's 2015 Thank A Donor Week Student Video Contest Winner
Description: This year, Temple University's Thank A Donor Week featured a new concept – a student video contest. Chris Williams, who graduated Temple last May, was selected by a panel of judges comprised of Temple faculty, staff and alumni as the contest winner. As a kick off to Thank A Donor Week, this video was e-mailed out to all university donors and posted to various social media sites.

Description: Every day, children and expectant mothers depend on the extraordinary care at Lucile Packard Children's Hospital Stanford and the groundbreaking child health research at Stanford University School of Medicine. At the 5th annual Summer Scamper 5k, 10k, and kids’ fun run, 3,200 participants ran, walked, sponsored, volunteered, and donated to surpass our $500,000 fundraising goal. Summer Scamper brings our community together to celebrate children's health and show support for patients and their families.



Thank you to Stripes
Description: Stripes’ contribution let’s kids be kids. This video showcases the impact of Stripes’ fundraising on MD Anderson Children Cancer Hospital’s Pediatric Education & Creative Arts Program, which includes the inpatient school, school re-entry support and free camps for cancer patients and their siblings. In September 2014, as part of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, the Stripes® Stores Celebrates Tomorrows campaign raised more than $1.4 Million in customer and employee donations for MD Anderson’s Children’s Cancer Hospital. The James B. and Lois R. Archer Charitable Foundation and Triumph Over Kid Cancer Foundation matched the donations dollar for dollar, doubling the Stripes Stores Celebrates Tomorrows donations for a grand total of more than $2.8 million benefiting childhood cancer. 



The Many Shades of
McMaster
On 2011 on Canada's National Philanthropy Day, November 15, we sent a video thank you to all McMaster's donors. That year, we met a student, Khanh Be, who had a remarkable talent-outside of her studies in Kinesiology, she could sketch from a photo , with amazing precision. From there, an idea was born to thank McMaster donors with a time-lapsed video of a sketch by Khanh. A touching thank you for donors.

There's No Stopping Jeremiah

Meet Jeremiah, an energetic 10-year-old who loves learning and practicing karate. At just 15 months old, Jeremiah received a life-saving liver transplant at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford, home to the #1 organ transplant program in the nation. Jeremiah’s parents, Charles and Andrea, credit their son’s remarkable recovery to the compassionate care provided by a dedicated team of surgeons, nurses, social workers, and developmental specialists.

UGA Thank A Donor Day 2015

The purpose of Thank a Donor Day is to create a culture of philanthropy among UGA students by educating them about the importance of private giving and demonstrating the impact it makes on their educational experiences and, at the same time, emphasize the importance of thanking donors for their generosity.



UNC Kenan-Flagler Student Thank You Video

This video was created for UNC Kenan-Flagler's fifth annual Donors & Scholars Celebration, an event where our scholarship and fellowship donors and recipients have the opportunity to meet each other. Donors can see their investment in the next generation of business leaders, and students learn - as recipients of someone else's philanthropy - the importance of paying it forward. This video illustrates just how appreciative our scholarship and fellowship recipients are.



What Would You Give

This video was the first TV spot in our nationwide marketing effort for the $1 billion Campaign for UAB, currently underway. The video asks the question What Would You Give to spark interest in our campaign and encourage donations. The tag line for our campaign is Give Something, Change Everything.



Where There’s a Will, There’s a Way

Meet Brittany and Scott, the parents of 2-year-old Will, who loves playing with trucks and making funny faces. Will was a micro-preemie, born at 24 weeks and weighing just 1 pound, 11 ounces. Brittany and Scott share their gratitude for the exceptional care their family received throughout Will’s 5-month stay in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford.



Winter 2015 Highlights Donor
Impacts
Brooks School is a private, secondary school in North Andover, Mass. The record breaking winter in 2015 resulkted in a frozen lake and snow-filled fields when spring pre-season began in April. Fortunatley for Brooks athletes, donors had funded a rowing center in 2005 and the school's first turf field in 2014. These videsos, created in-house with an ipad, were shared with the respective donors of these two capital projects via email. We received numerous positive feedback.
