On-Site and Hands-On with The Little Bit Foundation

Session 5D

Thursday, October 4 | 10:30–11:30 AM

Session Description:

The greatest opportunity to end the cycle of poverty is education; but for many children in St. Louis, a number of obstacles stand in the way of achieving academic success. This is why The Little Bit Foundation exists, to break down these barriers so that children can focus on their education, develop self-confidence, and realize their dreams. Join us for an off-site visit to The Little Bit Foundation where participants will actively engage with The Little Bit team to learn how they remove barriers to education to encourage St. Louis children every day. This exciting, hands-on project requires closed toe shoes and being on your feet for most of the duration. Potential activities include building Hygiene/Dental Kits, assembling Books and Buddies, or filling orders for the children served, depending on actual needs during conference week. Transportation and boxed lunches will be provided for this extended session. Capacity is limited to 50 participants. Participants will leave for The Little Bit Foundation site immediately following the Keynote presentation, and will return to the conference location before Session 3 begins.
