With the rush of technology, the idea of "big data" promises that all the solutions to our problems exist in the automated crunching of numbers. While there is certainly some truth here, this answer discounts the nuances of tiny touches. Namely, it forgets that it is sometimes the little things we do that can make the biggest differences. Whether that is taking 30 more seconds to personalize a thank you or putting your marketing might behind a seemingly small story, this talk will focus on the successes that arise out of "little things." Using examples from the worlds of nonprofit and marketing, this session will focus on how the little things can make a big impact on any organization and how the confluence of technology and tiny touches can often present the best solutions.

 JD Beebe

JD Beebe founded ThankView after getting engaged to his now wife, Liz. What started as a way to make sending wedding thank you cards easier by utilizing video (vs. paper) has grown into the sophisticated yet user-friendly platform embraced by universities and non-profits around the world. Before founding ThankView, Beebe acted as Creative Director for Intel before leaving to start his own social media ad agency, New Antisocial. He's helped craft creative solutions for brands including Toyota, Spartan Race, Vitamin Water, and Surfrider Foundation. Finally, he recognizes that he would not be where he is today without the love, support, and help of countless individuals to whom he'd like to say, "Thank you!"
