SEDRC 2020 Session:

Stories at the Center of Stewardship

Melissa Landry
Manager, Donor Relations

About the Session

Positive experience, devastating tragedy, tax write-off. These are just a few of the reasons that donors give. This session will discuss what to look for in a good story, how to seek out information and the ways you can share a donor's "why" in a way that will inspire others. We'll share the triumphs, the roadblocks and the joys that come in working in a field where people's generosity quite literally changes and saves lives.

About the Speaker

Melissa Landry joined ADRP a little over four years ago upon entering the field of Donor Relations as a total novice in the industry. A native of New Orleans, she received a BA in journalism and digital design and an MBA in management and leadership from Tulane University. She currently works as Manager of Donor Relations at Ochsner Health System and enjoys spending her days talking to donors about why they give and to the patients who have been impacted by their generosity. In her free time, she loves all things true crime, spending time with her family and friends and traveling with her husband.

SEDRC 2020 Session:

Transforming the Donor Experience: Thinking Out of the Box

Jennifer Williford
Director, Stewardship & Donor Relations

About the Session

The Woodruff Arts Center's Annual Corporate Campaign is well known throughout metro-Atlanta garnering support from the city's top corporations. But many of the Arts Center's corporate donors don't know about the wealth of benefits they receive in recognition of their support. Inspired by the Atlanta United Football Club's season ticket package, the Corporate Engagement Team created an "out of the box" solution to engage corporate donors and increase corporate benefit usage. Jennifer Williford, Director, Stewardship & Donor Relations, will guide you through the Art Center's process of creating a dynamic donor benefit package. Session appropriate for all size shops, all experience levels and all types of organizations

About the Speaker

Jennifer Williford currently serves as Director, Stewardship & Donor Relations at The Woodruff Arts Center, where she oversees the stewardship efforts for corporate and individual donors. Jennifer has nearly 20 years of experience in fundraising, event management, and donor relations. Prior moving to Atlanta, she lived in Brooklyn, NY where she began her career in nonprofit fundraising as the Special Event Manager at the Brooklyn Museum. Subsequent roles include Senior Development Officer at Nontraditional Employment for Women (New York, NY) and Director of Development at Room to Grow International (New York, NY). Jennifer graduated from Columbia University (New York, NY) with a Bachelor of Arts, received a Master of Public Administration from Baruch College (New York, NY), and was a United Way Senior Fellow.
