Grant administration is, perhaps, not the sexiest aspect of donor relations, but it is critical to the success of a well-run stewardship program. This interactive session will provide participants with the opportunity to learn more about the best practices around solicitation development and review, acceptance, grant management, record keeping, and donor reporting as well as the role donor relations and stewardship staff play at each of these critical steps in the grant cycle. We will look at various tools, systems, and processes, and talk about such challenges as preventing the over-restriction of donor funds, full-cost budgeting, pulling together the right team of people at various stages, and organizing a multitude of documentation.
